EZ Web vs Profound
Profound, as described on its own site: marketing platform for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing brand visibility in AI-powered answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini. EZ Web is an agency: six engines recorded every run, then the pages written to change what they say. The two are compared below, with sources.
How wide is the Profound engine list?
Each entry is Profound's own description, read from its site and public listings on September 20, 2026. We have not used Profound on a client engagement.
What stands out about Profound
- The widest published engine list of any tool we compare. DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude and Exa Search appear on Profound's list and on almost nobody else's.
- Built for enterprise buyers who want one contract, a custom scope and a named account team rather than a credit card checkout.
- It answers the crawler-side question most tools skip: what AI systems actually retrieve from your site, not only what they say about you.
Where Profound falls short
- You cannot find out what it costs without a sales call. For a company comparing three tools on a budget, that alone can end the evaluation.
- The free trial is a demo, not a test. Ten prompts run once against one engine, with no history and no export, cannot show you whether your visibility is moving.
- It is measurement. Profound tells you where you stand; writing the pages, fixing the technical problems and earning the citations is still work someone has to do.
Does Profound make sense below an enterprise budget?
Profound is the better fit when you are an enterprise with budget for a custom contract, you need the widest engine coverage on the market including DeepSeek and Claude, and you already have a team who will act on the data.
EZ Web is the better fit when you do not have a team ready to act on the data.

How much does Profound cost?
As of September 20, 2026 Profound does not publish a price. Its pricing page lists a free trial and a custom-quoted Enterprise plan only. The self-serve Starter plan at $99/mo and Growth at $399/mo that were offered earlier in 2026 have been retired, so the only way to get a number today is a sales conversation.
Is Profound worth it?
If you are an enterprise that needs the widest engine coverage available, including DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude and Exa Search, and you have a team ready to act on the findings, it is the most complete measurement product we compare. If you are a small business, the lack of a published price and the absence of a self-serve tier make it a poor starting point.
What does Profound not do?
Profound measures. It reports where you appear in AI answers and how AI systems retrieve from your site, but it does not write the pages, fix the technical problems or earn the citations that change those numbers. That work still falls to your team or your agency.
